Robyn Millman

About Robyn

Robyn has been at the front desk of OBYG since the summer of 2011. She loves being a part of the wonderful OBYG family every summer, and she is excited to see the returning campers and staff and greet all of the new faces.

In the off-season, Robyn teaches kindergarten at The Lower Lab School in Manhattan, where she lives with her husband, Marc, and daughter, Julia. All the Millmans love Ocean Beach Youth Group and can’t wait for the Summer of 2024!

Julianna Capuano

About Julianna

This will be Julianna’s fourth year running OBYG’s social media and helping with our marketing! Not only was she a counselor before this, but she started at OBYG as a four year old camper! During the year, Julianna teaches in New York City!

Julianna loves seeing campers make all of the life-long friendships and memories that she made! She never gets tired of capturing all of their smiles and sharing them with all of you on the camp’s social media accounts.

Griffin Pallen

About Griffin

Griffin is beyond excited for his 6th year as the Ocean Sports (surf) Director at OBYG. During the winter, he teaches students with special needs in Upstate, New York. Griffin’s favorite part of camp is seeing the progression of campers. Every year our campers come back more mature and Griffin thinks that it’s only fair to think that OBYG has something to do with this! There’s a lot of new ideas and plans brewing for the Surf Program outside of swimming and learning the currents! Don’t forget to stop by Surf Road to say hi!

Maxwell O’Handley

About Maxwell

Maxwell (Max) O’Handley is our Teen Program / CIT Program Coordinator. Max started as the Drama Director in 2018 and began working with the CIT’s in 2021! During the year, Max is a teacher in West Babylon, New York!

Max’s favorite thing about OBYG is watching the campers grow throughout the years and helping them to have new, and exciting experiences. He also loves helping out behind the scenes with the camp show! Max cannot wait to be back at Windswept for summer 2024. You may even see him on the back deck serenading the campers with his guitar!

Harrison Zabar

About Harrison

My name is Harrison Zabar and this is my third year working at OBYG. I am excited to be the Fishing Director this summer. Last year I was the Junior Fishing Counselor and cannot wait to lead the fishing department. I grew up fishing on Fire Island and am eager to teach the next generation. This fall I will begin my study of engineering at Northeastern University. My Favorite thing about OBYG is showing the campers the excitement of fishing on the dock. I look forward to seeing what the campers reel up this year!

Mark DiCristo

About Mark

This is Mark Dicristo’s 12th summer at OBYG! Mark oversees all of the activity on the bay and maintains all of our motorboats, sailboats, paddle boards, and kayaks. Mark went to Dowling College for his undergraduate degree and Touro College for his Masters degree. During the off season, Mark is an elementary school Physical Education teacher at PS 203 in Queens.

Mark loves OBYG because he is able to do the things he loves most: boating and being on the bay! Mark also enjoys having his son Vincent and his wife Liz be a part of the OBYG family.
