Maxwell (Max) O’Handley is our Teen Program / CIT Program Coordinator. Max started as the Drama Director in 2018 and began working with the CIT’s in 2021! During the year, Max is a teacher in West Babylon, New York! He is so excited to introduce new field trips this summer for the CIT’s and 13s/14s! Max’s favorite thing about OBYG is watching the campers grow throughout the years and helping them to have new, and exciting experiences. He also loves helping out behind the scenes with the camp show! Max cannot wait to be back at Windswept for summer 2025. You may even see him on the back deck serenading the campers with his guitar!

This will be Harrison’s fourth year working at OBYG. Harrison is excited to return as the Fishing Director this summer. He grew up fishing on Fire Island and he is eager to teach the next generation. This fall, he began studying engineering at Northeastern University. Harrison’s Favorite thing about OBYG is showing the campers the excitement of fishing on the dock. He can’t wait to see what the campers reel up this year!

This is Mark Dicristo’s 12th summer at OBYG! Mark oversees all of the activity on the bay and maintains all of our motorboats, sailboats, paddle boards, and kayaks. Mark went to Dowling College for his undergraduate degree and Touro College for his Masters degree. During the off season, Mark is an elementary school Physical Education teacher at PS 203 in Queens. Mark loves OBYG because he is able to do the things he loves most: boating and being on the bay! Mark also enjoys having his son Vincent and his wife Liz be a part of the OBYG family.
