Jordan Manowitz

About Jordan

My name is Jordan Manowitz and I have been sailing with OBYG since summer 2021 and couldn’t be happier to do so. I am a distinguished sailor with a masters 100 ton captains license, a sailing endorsement through the US Nautical School, and US Sailing level 1,2,3 teaching certificates with 25+ years of experience on the water. I learned how to sail at the Southampton Yacht Club, participated in PGJSA regattas from middle school through high school  and continued competing in collegiate racing at the American University in the MESA division.

When I am not sailing with OBYG, I am a high school Robotics coach, AV technician, and marketer on the east end of Long Island. I enjoy teaching students the skills I have gained through my experiences and professions. OBYG has provided me the ability to do what I love and share my skills with the communities of Fire Island. Sailors can always find me on the deck of Windswept, eager to get out on the water.
