OBYG Camp Activities

Our waterfront program, led by professional instructors, includes motor boat rides, wakeboarding, kayaking, kneeboarding, and tubing! Campers may even get to experience different parts of our island. Those ages 10+ will get expert one on one instruction if they choose Wakeboarding as an elective. Mastery of this skill will not only be fun, but build confidence!

Including volleyball, soccer, kickball, capture the flag, and more!

Campers can be found on the ball field, tennis courts, basketball courts or in the school gym learning new sports skills or playing friendly games. Those with a passion for athletics can choose sports as their afternoon elective on Monday-Thursday. We offer a FREE evening Sports Night League (with link to Night League page) to keep the fun going all summer long.

Including studio art, photography, performing arts, and more!

Our campers have the chance to flex their artistic muscles in our art studio at Windswept or on the stage of the Community House.  We have a Visiting Artist program that brings in professionals for activities including magic, printmaking, and mosaics.

Campers ages 7+ will learn to sail as part of the regular camp day. Campers 10+ can choose sailing instruction as an elective. We offer after camp sailing lessons for those who want to learn and practice more with our licensed instructors!

Swim and Ocean Sports

All campers enjoy swimming in the Great South Bay and older campers in the ocean! Our certified OBYG lifeguards supervise swimmers in the bay and ocean. On inclement weather days, our Ocean Sports counselors lead fun beach games including handball, sandcastle building, Kan Jam, and more. In the bay, campers have the chance for free swim and instruction on various strokes. We look forward to bringing back our OBYG Swim Team - the Stingrays!

Drama and Dance

Led by professional teaching artists, our drama and dance programs are an enriching performing arts experience for all campers. The program is structured to provide an introduction to the craft of performance or campers with more experience can choose drama or dance as an elective for a more intensive study.

OBYG provides instruction, drills and match play plus off-court fun activities to supplement campers' tennis skills.

Photography and Film

Campers will learn the fundamentals of digital photography and photo and video editing. They will gain experience by shooting a variety of photo assignments to expand both technical skills and creativity, including portrait, candid, landscape and action photography projects.

Our magic program is a fun and unique exploration of the magic arts. Magicians will learn the importance of hand-eye coordination, movement, and performance, as well as prop-making that will inspire character development, improvisation, and the importance of using the imagination. Magicians will also learn and apply tailored sleight-of-hand magic and deep dive into the foundations of card magic.
